eHealth in Brussels/Belgium

In 2012, an action plan “2013-2018” for the digitalization of health care was drafted during a wide-ranging consultation between, among others, patient associations, health care providers, mutual societies, IT industry and authorities (federal, regional and community). Its update in 2015 resulted in an e-Health Action Plan (roadmap 2015 / -2018).

During the 2015 update, an additional action point, action point 19 "Mobile Health" was added. It aims to create a framework through which Mobile Health applications can be integrated into the healthcare system, taking into account qualitative, legal, organizational and financial aspects.

In 2018, the Brussels region wasrepresented for the first time with a special pavilion.
