The Smart Health Systems study published by Bertelsmann Stiftung in 2018 highlighted the fact that countries with a clear eHealth strategy are more successful at digitalising the healthcare system. In the coalition agreement the parliamentary groups of the German government also agreed to set up an eHealth Action Plan for 2020. To begin with we will take a look at Denmark (sundhed.dk), number three in the rankings, and how it implemented its eHealth strategy. Afterwards, a discussion will take place with the Departments of Health, Economics and Research on the prospects for implementation in Germany.
This session is organised and held by The German Association of Health IT Vendors – bvitg e. V.
