Software development, medicine and quality management as well as related combinations are the passion of Christian Johner such as Development, validation and admission of medical software and devices, Software quality management and testing, Medical informatics and Medical data analysis and quality management.
These topics are covered by the graduated physician since his studies. Currently he is planning radiation in oncology and is founding his first company dealing with quality management for medical devices.
For more than a decade he worked for the international health company Fresenius Medical Care, leading provider of kidney replacement therapy with more than 2000 clinics.
Christian Johner acts as head of development and is responsible for a new information system managing clinics and physician offices all around the world. The Software developers NephroCare is one of the companies of Fresenius, and was cofound by him. The expertise obtained during this time influenced Dr. Johner significantly in the design of the degree course.
Christian Johner educates named institutions and counsels producers of medicine technology developing medical software. As professor and lecturer he teaches software architecture, software engineering and software quality management at Hochschule Konstanz and at Danube University Krems.
In addition, he founded and is maaging the institute for “IT in healthcare”, allowing professionals and managers to obtain a master’s degree alongside their work.
