Dr. Alexander Schachinger
Alexander Schachinger’s (born in 1974) field of activity is empirical and scientific evaluation of innovative digital healthcare services and care supply solutions for patients. These primarily involve web-based interventions for which patients can use their internet-capable terminal devices (smart phones, tablets etc.).
Dr. Schachinger evaluates publications, start-ups and emerging digital healthcare solutions at a national and international level and is in constant dialogue with ministries, sponsors, suppliers, manufacturers and research institutes (including RKI, Fraunhofer, Max-Planck and IGES) by way of various mandates. In addition, he merges healthcare research data with media use research data (device distribution, usage patterns, digital competence, willingness to pay for services etc.).
Dr. Alexander Schachinger studied media economics (main focus: the internet economy) in Berlin (HU & FU), scholarship at the University of Toronto, Canada.
In 2014 awarded PhD for work on the empirical phenomenon “digital patient” at the Humboldt University, Berlin.
State examination in physiotherapy and brief period of employment as physiotherapist at the Würzburg University Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Alexander Schachinger is the founder of EPatient RSD GmbH: a company involved in the evaluation, conception and integration of web-based services for patients.
