Call for Papers: DMEA Is Looking for Congress Speakers from Every Area of Healthcare

Whether the subject is the digital transformation in the nursing sector, innovations in healthcare IT, telematics, interoperability or the electronic patient file – interested members of the digital healthcare sector are invited to submit a paper for the DMEA congress. The deadline is 16 November 2018.

Boasting a new name and a broader concept, DMEA – Connecting Digital Health is due to continue the 11-year success story of the former event. From 9 to 11 April 2019 the focus in Berlin will be on digital health and the entire supply chain in the healthcare system. As the main platform for digital healthcare, DMEA will bring health IT companies, institutions, political decision-makers and startups into contact with prospective customers, industry professionals and newcomers.

DMEA provides a comprehensive market overview combined with a wide-ranging program of events and advanced training courses. Its intersectoral approach offers room for new thinking and will permit an in-depth exchange of views. And naturally it will debate all the digital technologies that are having a sustained impact on healthcare. DMEA invites interested members of the health industry to actively shape the program and to speak at the congress on the following topics:

• Innovative Healthcare IT

• Standards and Interoperability as they Apply to Patient Safety and to Innovative Diagnostics and Therapy

• EHR– Benefits for Physicians or Benefits for Patients?

• Digital Transformation in Nursing – What is the Added Value?

• Nursing in the intersectoral and Interprofessional Care Process

• The Telematics Infrastructure: Current Situation and Future Prospects

• Artificial intelligence for Physicians and Patients: Opportunities and Challenges for Practical Applications

• mHealth - The Mobile Revolutions in Productive Operation

• IT Security in Medical Care

• A Different Perspective: Who will Shape Tomorrow’s Health IT?

More than 50 committee members are working to organise a quality programme of outstanding events and making every effort to satisfy the audiences’ needs.

Parallel with the wide range of events, at which nursing will play an even more important role, companies from every area of digital healthcare will be represented at the fair. Demand for places is high, with more companies having currently already booked their stands than this time last year for the event. 2018 was fully booked, so that floor space at DMEA has now been increased.

About DMEA – Connecting Digital Health

DMEA is the successor to the former event and represents a strategic evolution of that concept. Its aim is to mirror the entire digital supply chain including every process along the way. Step by step DMEA will expand into a platform representing every digital field of interest to all players in the healthcare system, both now and in the future. DMEA targets decision-makers in every healthcare sector – hospital managers, IT heads, doctors, nurses, healthcare policymakers and experts in science and research. As an integrated event combining a trade fair, congress, academy and networking events it gives participants an opportunity to find out about the latest digital healthcare developments and products, establish industry contacts and gain high-level qualifications.

DMEA is held by the German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg) and organised by Messe Berlin. The following industry associations also contribute to the event: the German Association of Healthcare IT Vendors (bvitg), the German Association for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS), the German Medical Informatics Professional Association (BVMI).
